With more than 300 sunny days a year and some of the most spectacular scenery in the world, you can bet Estes Park is a marathoner’s paradise. But the sunny weather also means you should make sure to use sunblock, at least SPF 30. Our climate is also very dry, so please hydrate well in the days and hours before the race.
Weather: Be prepared for any kind of weather on race day; in our beautiful mountain community, conditions can change rapidly. It can be cold, windy or hot, or anything in-between! Check out the latest weather forecast on the link below.
Climate: Our elevation is 7500ft. We encourage all participants to arrive at least 4 days before race day. Taking time to acclimate, will make your race day more enjoyable and increase a favorable performance. We are a destination race and we hope you can plan your taper vacation with us.
Hydration: We are a dry climate. It is very important to drink extra water while you are in our area. Our rocky mountain temperatures are cooler, but we lack humidity. With each dry air breath, you need to be supplementing with water! Don’t let dehydration sabotage your race performance!
